The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) is seeking a committed Industrial Officer to join our Queensland Division team in Taringa. If you believe in unionism, equity, and collective action, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Your Role:
- Organise and coordinate industrial campaigns that drive change.
- Provide advice, support, and training to members on industrial matters.
- Negotiate collective agreements to improve pay and conditions.
- Advocate before industrial and university tribunals to defend workers’ rights.
- Engage with higher education institutions to resolve disputes.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Commitment to union values and the principles of organising.
- Experience in advocacy and negotiation, particularly within industrial tribunals.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to educate members.
- Campaigning expertise.
- A current driver’s licence for regular travel to Queensland campuses.
The Offer:
- Salary: $123,498 – $136,349 p.a. (Level 7 NTEU National Staff Agreement)
